The major objective of the assignment is to provide technical assistance to the National Department of Education, Federated States of Micronesia in developing the NQF ensuring transparency, consistency, and quality in certifications and qualifications across institutions. It sets standards, recognizes learning levels, and aligns them with global protocols for broader acceptance, providing guidance on occupational standards, academic norms, assessment systems, and accreditation: with an ultimate goal of enhanced global recognition and acceptance of qualifications and skills.
The assignment achieved major areas of reviewing and improving national qualifications frameworks and educational standards, emphasizing on the examination of various policies, plans, and frameworks, including national, regional, and international standards. Along with highlight areas like education programs (from early childhood to tertiary), special needs education, vocational training, and institutional accreditation. The completed deliverables include detailed reports and a comprehensive system for accreditation, monitoring, and quality assurance in education and professional services.
