Gender Responsive Pedagogy Framework

Project Details:

Executive Summary:

The Gender Responsive Pedagogy Framework (GRPF) developed to advance equitable learning environments across Nepal’s education system by addressing entrenched gender biases in teaching practices, school culture, and curriculum delivery, anchored in national education priorities and aligned with global gender equity goals. The framework provides a structured approach for educators, policymakers, and institutions to promote inclusive pedagogy, outlining practical strategies for fostering gender-sensitive classroom interactions, enhancing teacher awareness, and integrating gender equity into foundational teacher training and school-level interventions. The GRPF includes contextualized tools such as training modules, monitoring indicators, and culturally relevant guidance tailored to Nepal’s diverse linguistic and social landscape. Embedding gender responsiveness into everyday teaching and learning, the framework aims to transform schools into spaces where all learners, regardless of gender, can thrive.
